Topaz-andalusite-corundum variety of rodingites(?) from Breznička (Ochtiná Group, Western Carpathians, Slovakia)

Abstract
In the study of rodingites occurring at the contact of the ultrabasic body in Breznička, we found a specific type of rocks rich in Al minerals in the blackwall zone. These rocks are likely to have originated during the rodingitization process. The mineral composition of corundum, topaz and andalusite points to the dominant role of Al in the metasomatic process. Corundum zoning (increased TiO2 content) and increased Cr content in the rock as well as in the corundum indicate a close connection to the surrounding ultrabasic rocks.
